RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICSRhythmic gymnastics is a girls-only Olympic sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with a rope, hoop, ball, clubs or ribbon accompanied by music, in individual or group events. It incorporates elements from classical ballet, apparatus work for muscle development and the Swedish method of using free exercise to develop rhythm. Rhythmic gymnastics enhances musical abilities of harmony and rhythm, improves body coordination and flexibility, and builds strength, agility and endurance. Classes are led by USA Gymnastics professional coaches.RHYTHMIC MINIS 1st Session: 2900-22F012nd Session: 2900-22F04Ages 3 - 4Our Rhythmic minis will be introduced to basics of Rhythmic Gymnastics - body movements, stretching techniques, running, balancing, and playing with balls, ribbons, and ropes.Please come in form-fitting clothes and a tightly braided ponytail or amaze us with a bun! All gymnasts should also have a pair of toe shoes/half shoes or a pair of crew socks to wear while on the carpet. All apparatuses are provided by the instructor.INTRODUCTORY CLASS 1st Session: 2900-22F022nd Session: 2900-22F05Ages 5 - 7The introductory level of this incredibly beautiful and elegant Olympic sport is designed to teach young girls basic body movements, floor tumbling, running, dance with ribbons, playing with balls, rope jumping, balancing, and stretching.Please come in form-fitting clothes and a tightly braided ponytail or amaze us with a bun! All gymnasts should also have a pair of toe shoes/half shoes or a pair of crew socks to wear while on the carpet. All apparatuses are provided by the instructor.STRETCHING AND CONDITIONING CLASS 1st Session: 2900-22F032nd Session: 2900-22F06Ages 8 and upIn our stretching and conditioning rhythmic gymnastics classes gymnasts will work on improving their flexibility and strength. The girls will learn to combine elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation. These activities will enhance hand-eye-foot and body coordination.Please come in form-fitting clothes and a tightly braided ponytail or amaze us with a bun! The Troy School District is pleased to offer an, After-School Tutoring Program for elementary and middle school students.
Our preschool program offers full day or half day class selections. We also offer Explorer before and after school child care as well as Explorer sessions on half days and delayed start days.
A playgroup for families with children 18 months to 36 months old.
Students can earn a diploma, prepare for GED/High School Equivalency testing, and develop academic skills for employment or post-secondary admission.
Kindergarten, Complete Beginner, Beginner, Intermediate, Strong Intermediate All skill levels will run at these dates and times and are open to K - 6th grade
Families and swimmers of all ages are invited to "kick back and relax" in our open swim program. Lap lanes are also available.
Let our trained and certified staff help make swimming a lifelong skill! Safety skills are stressed as well as learning swim strokes based on American Red Cross standards.
