  • Burlington Online ESL (Tuition)

    Description: Learn English online from anywhere at an any time! Practice listening, speaking, and reading in English. Improve your vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar. This is a web-based computer program, available to use 24/7. It is a self-paced independent program, not a teacher-led class. Students choose what, when, and how long to practice English. Teacher support is by email only. Topics include education, job applications, job interviews, emergencies, transportation, health care, pharmacy, nutrition, banking, housing, and becoming a citizen.   • High School Completion/GED Prep/Increase Skill Levels

    Description: Students can earn a diploma, prepare for GED/High School Equivalency testing, and develop academic skills for employment or post-secondary admission.This program features individualized lessons and self-paced study online and in-seat with flexible schedules. Must be 18 years and older. Classes are FREE for eligible students who test below a 12th grade reading and/or math level or do not have a diploma. A $30 non-refundable registration fee is required for all students.   Flexible lab hours, including certified teacher support, available from Monday through Friday 9:45 am –1:45 pm OR Monday through Thursday 6:00 pm - 9:45 pm. Online and Hybrid options available. Due to COVID safety protocols, our classes will be in a virtual format until the Troy School District assess safety concerns in October. If the Troy School District announces a move to a hybrid schedule, Troy Continuing Education will move to that as well. You will receive an email from your teacher with any updated information. PLEASE NOTE: In order to earn a Troy School District diploma, a minimum of two credits (four classes) must be earned through Troy Adult Education prior to graduation unless previous credits have been earned from a Troy School District high school, in which case only one credit (two classes) must be earned through Troy Adult Education. Registration: Starting September 8th, 2020 you may register either online at troy.ce.eleyo.com or with scheduled registration appointments in the building, if you cannot register online. You must schedule a time to register in advance with our registration coordinator via the email mjgale@troy.k12.mi.us if you cannot register online.
