    Be prepared when seconds count! You might save a life, but only if you know how. Learn how to respond effectively to adult, child, and infant cardiac and choking emergencies, sudden illness, bleeding and other life-threatening conditions from the American Red Cross programs that set the national standard. You will also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and your vital role in the chain of survival. Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification card will be issued upon successful completion of course requirements (valid for two years). Please note that you must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive early up to 10 minutes early. No refunds or credit with less than 24-hour notice.     In this special winter holiday-themed evening session, we'll design & build our own custom toys worthy of Santa's Workshop, create a working roller track to get Santa to all the continents in one night, and mix up a batch of candy cane slime! Join us for this fun night out for kids, which also provides a well-deserved break for parents! Challenge Island is an award-winning STEAM enrichment program where kids solve fun, hands-on “challenges” which teach them about STEAM fundamentals and crosscurricular topics, plus important success skills like creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and much more. Students work together in small "STEAM Teams" to solve our challenges, giving them an opportunity to grow their teamwork and social skills as well. We look forward to seeing you on Challenge Island!

  • High School Additional Credit - School Year

    Description: High School students can earn missing credits or gain advance credit.  Work in the Troy Learning Center lab at night and/or online from anywhere.  Permission from counselor is required.  You will receive an email with instructions once the online registration is verified by your counselor. COURSE LOAD: Students must be registered and attending classes for six (6) units of credit in the regular day school before he/she is permitted to enroll in Troy Continuing Education classes. Student can work in the Troy Learning Center Classroom lab with certified teacher: Lab hours vary Monday through Thursday evenings starting at 6pm and must be confirmed with mentor teacher. Lab is located in Room 20 and is optional to attend. Troy Learning Center: 1522 East Big Beaver, Troy, MI 48083. Troy School District Students $235.00 ; Out of District Students $275.00. Registration: Registration is ongoing through December 4th. You may register online at troy.ce.eleyo.com. Students can register and begin classes at any time from August 26-December 4 for the fall semester. Please allow 1-2 business days to fully process your registration. If a second course is needed, you will need to complete another registration. After registration a confirmation email from Eleyo will be sent, please check spam/junk folders as sometimes instructions will be directed there. To provide the highest quality tutoring experience, all tutors are a part of the excellent Troy School District educational community. Limited Availability ONE-TO-ONE TUTORING Punch Cards Sessions are purchased as Punch Cards – however, actual Punch Cards are not being used at this time. Your Tutor and you will track your session usage. (6) 55-minute sessions at $40/session=$240.00 (12) 55-minute sessions at $37/session=$444.00 Registration Process: 1. Select Punch Card Tutoring from the options below. 2. Select 6 or 12 session Punch Card. Please fill out as much of the information as possible, so we can best find you an appropriate Tutor. 3. Include the name of your current Tutor. If you do not have one, leave blank, and a tutor will be assigned to you. The tutor will contact you and together you will work out your tutoring schedule. 4. Punch Card sessions can be used for more than one child. If 2 children will be using one card, please add the 2nd child's name, grade, subject to the NOTES section of the registration. Tutors are encouraged to partner with classroom teachers to assist the students in the areas that the student needs support.
