In this course students will develop a beginning understanding of effective written and verbal communication skills by examining a selection of text addressing American themes, authors, and writings. Students explore common genres of academic writing while honing their analytical and argumentative writing skills. Students will be required to develop well-supported arguments about American literature, as well as develop both reflective and analytical arguments.
