These sessions introduce young learners to the fundamentals of sewing through fun, hands‑on projects. Participants build confidence, develop fine motor skills, and explore creative expression in a supportive, engaging environment. Whether you're nurturing a child’s curiosity or looking to enhance your own emotional wellness, Sewing Therapy offers a meaningful, creative experience for every age. Class 1: Introduction to Sewing Overview of essential sewing tools threading a needle and tying secure knots a gentle start that builds comfort with materials and prepares learners for stitching. Class 2: Learning the Running Stitch Understanding the running stitch and its everyday uses Guided practice on fabric squares This class focuses on rhythm, control, and stitch consistency. Class 3: Learning back stich for stronger joins Class 4: Learning the Overcast Stitch Introduction to the overcast stitch for finishing raw edges Practice to build neatness and hand control. A practical technique that helps prevent fraying and strengthens seams. Class 5: Small Project – Fabric Bookmark/Scrunches/Coin purse creating a simple fabric bookmark using the running and overcast stitches. A quick, satisfying project that reinforces skills and gives learners something useful to take home. This course is designed to provide kids with confidence in sewing, offering easy techniques that can be applied to everyday tasks like mending clothes, fixing seams, or adding a personal touch to home decor.

$25 material fee paid to the instructor on the first day of class
